Are We Really Ready for Revival?

This word came during a Friday night service:

We cry out for revival, but are we really ready? Are we really ready for revival? Are we really ready for what God wants to release over His church?

I was in a service on Friday, and during worship, revival was the theme of the song. Suddenly I started to feel in my heart that the body wasn't ready for what God wants to release to His people.

The day of Pentecost, Acts 2, says they were all in one accord.

Do we see the body in one accord?

Do we see unity in the body of Christ?

"We must stop with the division, says the Lord."

A kingdom divided by civil war will collapse. Similarly, a family splintered by feuding will fall apart.

"In the last days," God says, "I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on my servants, men and women alike, and they will prophesy."

Where we are today, if God were to pour out what He wants to release, can we sustain it as one body? We have pockets of revival and moves of God, but He wants one massive sustainable move of His glory, so the knowledge of His glory will fill the earth.

For as the waters fill the sea, the earth will be filled with an awareness of the glory of the LORD.

Again I say, don't get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people. Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people's hearts, and they will learn the truth. Then they will come to their senses and escape from the devil's trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants.

What is divided cannot sustain the flow.

How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony! For harmony is as precious as the anointing oil that was poured over Aaron's head, that ran down his beard and onto the border of his robe. Harmony is as refreshing as the dew from Mount Hermon that falls on the mountains of Zion. And there the LORD has pronounced his blessing, even life everlasting.

As a body we must repent for our division and turn away from it. Let's become a united front, become a united body, so we can see this mighty move of God manifest in the earth as His conduits.

All the believers were united in heart and mind.

Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.

— Ephesians 4:3, NLT
